Compost Couriers is a team of two; passionate about social change and doing good in their neighbourhood. Born out of our love for the natural beauty of the Coast, and a frustration at the negative impact that single-use plastic has on this environment – Compost Couriers have started movement working with local businesses to make landfills, land empties one bin at a time.
We’ll take anything from your compostable smoothie cup, the niggly left over bits of food on your plate and paper towels chucked in the bin away after washing your dirty hands. All of that gross stuff can be completely composted and transformed into beautiful soil and given a second life. OMG that smoothie just changed the world.
Using plant-based products and composting them so they can be used again is a great step towards a cleaner, greener New Zealand.
Matt lives at all the best coffee shops, chucking back quality soft brew and dreaming up ideas that will change the world. With a Bachelor of Business majoring in sustainability, Matt is passionate about building a community that gives back to the land.
Matt previously worked for a compostable packaging company, igniting his love for plant-based products. It was in this job that he discovered a huge piece of the sustainability cycle was missing – inspiring the idea that is now Compost Couriers.
At home on the waves of the Hibiscus Coast, Harry is an environmentalist at heart – turning his love for the land into a project that will make a difference. Harry is the artistic brain in the Compost Couriers duo; with a passion for design and a knack for making even the rubbish in your bin look good.
Based on the Hibiscus Coast, the Compost Couriers are interested in working with local businesses who are keen to dispose of their compostable waste north of the Harbour Bridge.
